Apple Crumble
To make this delicious apple crumble you are going tp need the following:
- 5 Granny Smith apples
- 6 Natvia Sweetener (or Erythritol)
- 2 Tsp Lemon juice
- 50g Cranberries
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 Justine's Protein Cookies (Raspberry White Chocolate used)
- 125g standard flour
- 150g Almond meal
- 150g Butter (room temperature)
- Vanilla essence
Method:
- Grate 1-2 of the apples and keep the skin
- Cut the rest of the apples into small pieces and leave in water to avoid browning.
- Grease your pan with butter, then add the sweetener, cinnamon and a vanilla to taste.
- Wait until the sweetener caramelises and then add the grated apples
- After the grates apples are coated in the caramel mixture, add the rest of the apple slices.
- Stir and leave to simmer
- Dress with cranberries to enrich the flavour
- Add the lemon juice (lemon zest can be added for extra taste)
- In a dry bowl, mix the flour and almond meal
- Add the butter and mix
- Break up and add the Justine's Protein Cookies
- Mix the crumble mixture together to get your preferred texture
- Place the crumble mixture over the apple mixture
- Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 15 to 20 minutes
