We're stoked to announce that as of June 2023, Justine's Cookies now supports Social Supermarkets (also supported by PAK'nSAVE, New World & Four Square)! This collaboration aims to bring guilt-free indulgence and protein-rich goodness to even more Kiwis, while also supporting those in need within our communities.
Social Supermarkets are a contemporary take on the traditional food bank approach, providing food support with greater levels of choice and dignity. They empower people experiencing food security challenges by offering food and grocery products at a low or no cost, using a points system, in a standard supermarket-style setting.
Unlike the traditional practice of receiving pre-packaged food parcels that may not align with their specific dietary, cultural, or personal preferences, individuals now have the freedom to choose what they need for themselves. At Justine's Cookies, we are thrilled to be a part of this incredible movement that prioritizes choice, dignity, and inclusivity in providing healthier & diet-friendly options to Kiwis in need.
Currently, there are eight Social Supermarkets in New Zealand, with plans for further expansion. Together, we can make a significant impact in supporting those facing food insecurity across the nation.
